Qi Gong and Meditation

An Unusual Disease Cured by Qi Gong

Dr. Zhu Weimin (December 1, 2022)

A 60-year-old patient presented with hypertension diagnosed by his primary care physician, but he refused to take medication for treatment. Later, he experienced dizziness when standing for long periods (related to untreated hypertension). He had a strange symptom for a few years: at night, he would feel an unsettling sensation in his head, thinking that he was having a stroke and would die. He would try to move his legs but couldn't. He also attempted to move his arms but was unable to do so. After about 10 to 20 seconds, he would say "not yet" before finally waking up and exclaiming, "Ah, I'm still alive." He consulted a neurologist, who gestured with his hands, indicating that he didn't know what it could be as the brain scan showed no abnormalities.

He started practicing Qi Gong, but not every day, rather once or twice a week. When he had been practicing for 10 months, he began experiencing excessive nasal discharge, excessive tearing, and intense headaches. He went to the hospital where numerous tests were conducted, but no abnormalities were found. The doctors at the hospital were perplexed and wondered, "What could it be?" When the patient heard that the tests had found nothing, he smiled and told the doctors:

"Ah, I know what's wrong with me."

A doctor asked, "What is it?"

He replied, "It's the elimination of karma."

"Karma? What is that?" the doctor asked.

"Karma is the cause of illnesses. It is a dark substance present in the human body, formed by three things:""A bad heart, meaning when someone has committed mistakes that create karma. (Medicine does not recognize this.)

External factors such as cold, wind, heat, humidity, dryness, etc.

Internal factors such as chronic diseases, emotional disorders, etc.

A runny nose can be interpreted as a process of clearing the respiratory passages, watery eyes may indicate a cleansing of the liver system, and headaches can be perceived as dilation or cleansing of the cerebral arteries."

"Really!" exclaimed the doctor, surprised.

He suffered for a week, and then the strange symptoms and dizziness disappeared. Two months later, his hypertension also disappeared. In the following two years, he did not experience a recurrence.

(It should be noted that the explanations given by the patient regarding karma and its relationship with illnesses are not recognized by conventional medicine. It is important to consult healthcare professionals for appropriate medical evaluation, including clinical and complementary examinations.)
